The Beginning

After becoming a new father and wanting to make a difference for his children’s future, our co-founder Bernard Tan was reminded of his grandfather’s advice to take that next step.

It was a unique advisory role with a small company that helped Bernard see the potential of a new way to provide financing and make an environmental impact.

RE Royalties was thus created: to help build renewable energy projects faster through innovative financing, while leading the way for socially-conscious investors.

The royalty financing business model is an established and proven form of investment in other industry sectors such as mining, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, technology, music, and book publishing.

RE Royalties is a pioneer and is the first to apply this proven business model to the renewable energy sector.

RE Royalties has advanced the work in sustainability while achieving strong operating and financial performance at the same time.

Strong performance, along with social responsibility and environmental stewardship, is part of being a sustainable renewable energy company.
