Rick Hansen Foundation School Program

For 35 years, the Rick Hansen Foundation has worked to raise awareness, change attitudes, and remove barriers for people with disabilities through its initiatives and program. The RHFSP provides lessons and activities for kindergarten through to Grade 12 students focusing on disability, accessibility, and inclusion. Educators have expressed a need for more comprehensive training in inclusion and accessibility as it is not currently part of traditional teacher training and the Company’s donation will be directed towards educator training and in-person ambassador presentations in British Columbia.
Zajac Ranch for Children

Zajac’s programs and activities aim to empower campers, boost their confidence and self-esteem, and enhance their social and life skills as they experience the joys of the outdoors and of recreation in a safe, all-inclusive and adaptable camp environment
Vancouver Sun Children’s Fund Society Adopt-a-School program

Vancouver Sun Children’s Fund Society Adopt-a-School program mission is to relieve poverty among children and youth through funding for food, clothing, and basic necessities, as well as for mentorship, sports, arts, activities, and digital literacy. RE Royalties’ donation will help ensure that more of B.C.’s most vulnerable children can start their days warm, well-fed and ready to learn.
Richmond Food Bank Society

Our corporate donation will be supporting the School Meal Program, which aims at providing nutritious meals and snacks to Richmond students who attend school hungry. Kids and teens need nutritious food to grow, be healthy, and to effectively learn at school. Yet, too many Richmond students are attending school on an empty stomach. Hunger usually manifests itself in hyperactivity, anxiety or aggression which hinders optimal learning.
Blind Beginnings Society

Blind Beginnings Society is an organization committed to inspiring children and youth who are blind or partially sighted, and their families, by providing diverse programs, experiences, counselling and peer support, and opportunities for them to create fulfilling lives. Our corporate donation will be used to support the Creating Confidence and Youth Leadership & Pre-employment programs to empower youth to develop to their full potential.
Atira Women’s Resource Society

Atira Women’s Resource Society, a not-for-profit organization committed to the work of ending violence against women. Our corporate donation will be used to support the Legal Advocacy Program, which helps low-income women in the Downtown Eastside obtain free legal advocacy in a safe and confidential, women’s only space.
Glasswaters Africa Selemela Learning Network

The learning network is a collaboration between Glasswaters Africa & Selemela, a Lesotho-based social enterprise that delivers custom-built educational solutions to Lesotho’s education sector. The Selemela team has directly experienced the shortcomings of mainstream education in Lesotho. They are working to facilitate local research and education to provide meaningful change to children between 5 - 17 years old. They do this by listening to what the people in the community really need, and then putting an education plan in place to help create systematic change.
Vancouver General Hospital Future Surgery Program

The Future of Surgery program aims to reduce surgical wait times, put ground-breaking technology in the hands of medical experts, and optimize recoveries so patients can return to their lives and loved ones faster. To enable this, 16 new state-of-the-art operating rooms and a 40 bed peri-operative suites are being built at VGH, while two surgical in-patient units at UBC Hospital have been revitalized in order to serve patients with more complex medical needs.
Union Gospel Mission (Donation and Volunteering)

Our donation will support two men in the UGM’s Alcohol & Drug Recovery program. It costs $12,000 per person for the 6-month men’s recovery program, where participants are equipped with tools to assist in transforming their lives. One unique aspect of the 6-month program is the Expeditions hiking program that takes men on weekly hikes leading to an end of summer overnight trip. During a six-month stay at UGM, A&D residents also receive one-on-one counselling, life skills lessons, career development workshops, and relapse-prevention education.
