RE Royalties Joins Celebration of Generosity – Giving Tuesday

Updated: Jun 7, 2022

Today, on November 30, 2021, RE Royalties is uniting for a worldwide celebration of generosity. Giving Tuesday is an opportunity for people around the world to come together through generosity in all its forms by sharing acts of kindness and giving their voice, time, money, goods, and advocacy to support communities and causes.

People can show their generosity in a variety of ways during Giving Tuesday—whether it’s helping a neighbor, advocating for an issue, sharing a skill, or giving to causes—everyone has something to give and every act of generosity counts.

Recent data shows that people are highly motivated to give in 2021, and are giving more in response to needs in their community and for causes they care about.

Even in times of economic uncertainty, we each have a deep reserve of generosity, which we can deploy in myriad ways to make a difference.

Giving Tuesday is about giving of all types and some businesses may choose to give a financial contribution to their favorite cause or a fundraising drive, others will opt to reach out to neighbors, start an advocacy campaign, donate goods or extra supplies, share gratitude to frontline workers and those keeping us safe.

We are pleased to share some of the ways that RE Royalties has given back all year long to inspire others to join in this global celebration of generosity.

Volunteer at a Soup Kitchen

The holiday season centers around gathering to share a good meal and togetherness; your local soup kitchen is the perfect spot for both. Soup kitchens feed people that wouldn’t otherwise be able to get their next meal. Our team volunteered at Union Gospel Mission in the kitchen to prepare and serve 150 meals. It costs $3.29 for one meal and we are pleased that part of our donation went directly towards the meals we helped to prepare.

Help Youth Build a Positive Future

RE Royalties went to Covenant House Vancouver to help finance the Community Support Services, which is part of the Street Outreach and Drop-in program. Our donation provided wraparound care for youth throughout the year and help to support the Backpack Program.

Help Stop Violence Against Women

RE Royalties donated to Atira Women’s Resource Society, a not-for-profit organization committed to the work of ending violence against women. We supported the Legal Advocacy Program, which helps low-income women in the Downtown Eastside obtain free legal advocacy in a safe and confidential, women’s only space.

Advocate for Disability Rights and Workplace Inclusion

RE Royalties donated to Blind Beginnings Society, an organization committed to inspiring children and youth who are blind or partially sighted, and their families, by providing diverse programs, experiences, counselling and peer support, and opportunities for them to create fulfilling lives. We supported the Creating Confidence and Youth Leadership & Pre-employment programs to empower youth to develop to their full potential.

Donate Food To Support Children in Need

RE Royalties donated to the Richmond Food Bank Society, a not-for-profit organization that provides food assistance, advocacy and related support to individuals in need within the Richmond community. We supported the School Meal Program, which aims at providing nutritious meals and snacks to Richmond students who attend school hungry.

Giving back, in the form of volunteering, donating to charitable causes, or attending community-led charitable events, is an integral part of the culture at RE Royalties. We believe in using our strong business model to support organizations with a cause that resonates with us.

If you or your organization can show generosity and share kindness, you have something to give!
